Induction Hardening Heater for Clutch Springs

Clutch springs are compression springs that are used in dissimilar kinds of clutches. Some are used in clutch dampers to control vibrations and sound. The compression springs are compressed by the radial vibrations of a drifting engine. Clutch springs are used on motorcycle clutch assemblies. The function of these springs is to constantly hold the friction & driven plates together through spring tension, stopping slippage excluding when the clutch lever is involved. The induction heating heater provides a faster heating cycle time than heating by traditional atmospheric furnaces, and the process can simplify the material handling of the clutch springs, and can possibly allow automation of the material handling of the spring in the hardening procedure.
